Neighbouring Gants Hill is Newbury Park. With its listed, high arched, 1950s built bus and tube station which will take you into Liverpool Street is less than 30 minutes. The area also has good road access to the A12 and M11.

Newbury Park offers something for everyone. Locals love its green spaces such as Fairlop Waters Country Park. Independent shops, bars and restaurants are plentiful and Barkingside High Street is only a short drive away.

The housing stock is mainly 1930s along with newer build houses and apartments. There is plenty of choice when it comes to schooling, with both independent and state-run primary and secondary schools within the local area.

  • Newbury Park Underground Station (Central Line) – Newbury Park station is located on the Central Line and provides excellent connectivity to other parts of London. Passengers can travel to key destinations such as Stratford (for Westfield Shopping Centre and the Olympic Park), Liverpool Street (for the City of London) and Oxford Circus (for shopping on Oxford Street) without needing to change trains.
  • A12, A406 and M11 – The Eastern Avenue (A12) is easily accessible from Seven Kings, offering convenient road connections to other parts of London. It connects with the A406 and the M11 at Redbridge Roundabout, giving easy access to Stratford (via the A406) and Canary Wharf (via the A13 from Beckton Roundabout). The M11 connects to the M25 and provides a speedy route (depending on traffic) to Stansted Airport.
  • Bus routes – Newbury Park is served by various London Bus routes, including the 66, 296, 396, 128 and 150 buses. These routes connect Newbury Park to neighbouring areas, such as Ilford, Romford and Stratford. London Buses operate frequent services throughout the day, allowing for easy access to different parts of the city. For those traveling during the late hours, the N8 night bus service operates between Newbury Park and central London, providing a convenient option for late night commuters and those enjoying the city’s nightlife.
  • Stansted Airport – Easily accessible via the M11 motorway, Stansted Airport serves over 160 destinations across Europe, Asia and Africa. It is located near Stansted Mountfitchet, Essex, northeast of London.

  • Ilford War Memorial Gardens – Built to recognise and remember the 1,159 fallen during the First World War from Ilford, Ilford War Memorial Gardens was unveiled on the 11th of November 1922 by the daughter of Queen Victoria, Princess Louise, Duchess of Argyll. The gardens contain seating and formal rose beds to allow visitors space for quiet reflection.
  • Seven Kings Park – A large open space containing sports facilities such as tennis courts, cricket facilities, sports ground and a bandstand. More features include formal rose beds and plenty of seating for relaxing whilst out for a long stroll – the Park is a big hit with dog walkers. The skate park in the southern end of the park is popular among children and young adults. There is also a children’s play area on site that is very popular at weekends with families.
  • Valentines Park – Although not directly in Seven Kings, Valentines Park is located nearby and is easily accessible. This expansive park features beautiful gardens, ornamental lakes, boating lake, cafe and various sports facilities including tennis courts and a cricket pitch. It is an excellent destination for walks, jogging, picnics and outdoor sports.

  • Mirage – A delightful, family run restaurant in Newbury Park. They specialise in steaks, Turkish cuisine and fresh fish and they have built up a following over the course of 37 years through word of mouth.
  • Kibbeling – Situated on Ley Street, Kibbeling is a family run business and the first of its kind in Newbury Park. They, as the name suggests, serve kibbling – a tasty Dutch snacks consisting of deep fried battered fish. More items on the menu include your traditional fish and chips, kebabs, burgers and more.
  • Banana Leaf – Also situated on Ley Street, Banana Leaf Restaurant offers authentic Indian dishes infused with spices, herbs and freshly prepared ingredients. Starters to specials, curries to rice and Biriyani, all are cooked in their own recipes, producing flavoursome dishes.

  • Ilford Exchange Shopping Centre – Located within close proximity to Newbury Park, The Exchange is the main retail shopping mall of Ilford and has everything you need. From gadgets to fashion or even a quick bite to eat. It is located on Ilford High Road in the town centre and opened on the 6th of September 1991.
  • Aldborough Hall Equestrian Centre – An equestrian facility located in Aldborough Hatch, next to Newbury Park. It provides a range of services and facilities for horse enthusiasts, including riding lessons and competitions. The centre has taught both adults and children to ride and improve their skills, as well as training students for their British Horse Society exams.
  • Cineworld Cinema-lovers will benefit from the Cineworld Multiplex in Ilford’s town centre. With it being not too far from Newbury Park, the Cineworld Multiplex is a great way to enjoy the latest films.
