With its rich history, excellent transport links and diverse community, Dagenham has something for everyone. Its many claims to fame is being home to the UK subsidiary of the Ford Motor Company which started its operation there in 1931.

Transport Links

• Parsloes Park – Covering an area of approximately 143 acres, the park offers a variety of recreational opportunities and green spaces for visitors to enjoy. The park boasts the following sports and leisure facilities: Children’s play area, lake, bowling green, 2 tennis courts, basketball court, 5-a-side hard surfaced football area and full sized football pitches
  Old Dagenham Park/ The Leys – This park consists mainly of sports pitches and is located near Ballards Road with the country park to the east.
• Beam Parklands Country Park – A 131-acre flood defence with meadow & woodland edged by river, a play area and footpaths. Visitors to this blossoming parkland can expect to see a variety of wildlife throughout the year including Water Vole, Great Crested Newt, Reed Bunting, Snipe and Emperor dragonfly.
• Pondfield Park – a small park with a size of over 7 acres. Located at the junction of Reede Road and Pondfield Road, the park features an enclosed dog-free playground for smaller children, basketball court, small cycling track, zip wire, climbing structure and a small unmarked pitch with five-a-side goals.

  22 Ventidue – An Italian restaurant and takeaway located on Whitebarn Lane serving traditional dishes such as fresh pasta, risotto, lasagna and wood-fired pizzas.
• Aroma – a Chinese takeaway located on Lodge Avenue. Their menu offers a range of dishes including duck dishes, lamb, seafood, omelettes and vegetarian options. We especially recommend their fresh egg fried rice with some soy sauce.
